G Series / Nationals. It all led to this. The 4th annual Gridiron Football ‘G Series’ Youth Flag Football and 7v7 Football National Championship took place last weekend, marking the final chapter of the 2025 Tournament Circuit.
Over the course of two days, 1,400 athletes from across the United States took to the fields of Frisco, Texas. Ages 5 to 18, each player left it all on the field for a chance to take home that elusive title– National Champion. By the #s:
- More than 350 games played over 18 hours
- 21 divisions, 30% of which were girls-only
- 18 miles walked by each Gridiron staff person
- Gridiron teams traveled from as far away as Utah and New York!
Taking it to the next level? Athletes got to meet U.S. Women’s National Flag Football Quarterback and Gridiron Football Athlete Ambassador, Vanita Krouch! Some even enjoyed a 1:1 pregame warm up session with her 🤯

G SERIES / SATURDAY [ NATIONALS ]
Teams began arriving before 8am on Saturday, eager to test their grit against the best in the nation. The excitement was palpable. Over the next eight hours, more than 200 games were played across 10 fields. Parents, siblings and friends packed the sidelines with lawn chairs, umbrellas and tents to shade them from the Texas heat; a mix of anxious energy and sounds of encouragement filling the air.

Win or lose that day, each team left eager to return– some for a shot at redemption, all for a shot at immortality. Aaaaand let’s be honest, some were just excited to hit up their hotel pool after a hot day under the Texas sun!

G SERIES / SUNDAY [ NATIONALS ]
The air was electric on Sunday. Literally. After a brief delay for lighting, a second day of games got underway. What followed were ten hours of intense competition, going from pool play to single elimination games. Each one, a make it or break it event for hopeful athletes and fans.

We saw incredible feats of athleticism, skill and determination. But what impressed us even more were the displays of sportsmanship that would make any parent or coach proud, like opposing players congratulating each other on great plays and teammates supporting each other– win or lose. As Vanita shared, this sport is about more than plays on the field; it's the character built on-and-off that matters most.
But for those who walked away National Champions, they enjoyed some well-deserved time in the winner's circle, complete with official G Series National Championship rings, an epic team trophy, and custom MVP football.
