The U.S. Men's and Women's National Flag Football Teams brought home the gold last week at the IFAF Flag Football World Championships! This event features the best flag teams from six continents, so... kind of a big deal.

And for Vanita Krouch, Gridiron Ambassador and Quarterback of the U.S. Women's team, it marks her third consecutive World Championship. Safe to say, she knows a thing or two about handling pressure.

In today's 60sec "Huddle", Coach V shares how to recognize pressure and handle it like a pro.

“Hi, I'm Vanita with Gridiron Football, and I'm here today to talk about handling pressure.

Sometimes you get on that field and your heart's pounding, you feel like your heart has moved into your throat, your head's starting to shake a little bit, your fingertips are sweating, your feet are sweating, your tummy is talking to you. And you're like, ‘oh my gosh, I got to use the restroom!’ No, I think that's pressure, and it's a good thing. It keeps you humble. So when you're in a situation where you feel pressure, just take a breath, believe in yourself, believe in the play call, believe in your defense. And I believe what will be, will be; as long as you have that confidence and you don't lay it all on your own shoulders, which we all tend to do, and take all the blame and relieve that stress off of your teammates and stuff. And it's all of your success together, and it's all of y'all's downfall if it happens because we pick each other up. So I think handling pressure can come in so many ways and shapes and forms and it talks to your body, talks to you, you can feel it and it's a natural part. But I think it's just knocking on you to to do something positive and make something out of it. So listen to your pressure, listen to your gut, and make that delivery.”
